Lighthaus Careers
Site Supervisor
Lighthaus Built is looking for a Site Supervisor to join our growing team.
We specialize in high-end residential renovations and custom home building in Toronto. We work directly with homeowners and value the relationships we build with them, so we’re looking for someone who is not only skilled at managing construction sites, but also empathetic, communicative, and professional.
We're a small company led by carpenters. Both owners started their careers on the tools, so we understand what it takes to build a quality home—and how important it is to support the people doing the work.
That’s why we’ve built a company that respects your time:
✔️ No overtime
✔️ No weekends
✔️ No holidays
We're also family-friendly: John and Dave each have kids, so we know how important work-life balance is. You’ll be expected to lead on-site—but not miss dinner at home.
We also value growth and education. Whether you're expanding your skills on your own or through formal courses, we’re committed to investing in you.
Your Role:
As a Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on-site. You will:
Oversee all site activity and keep the project running smoothly
Schedule and coordinate trades to maintain project timelines
Monitor workmanship to ensure high standards are met
Order materials and manage deliveries
Track scope changes and report them to the Project Manager for change orders
Guide and support Lighthaus carpenters and apprentices
Lead by example — stepping in on carpentry work when appropriate
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure site at all times
Engage professionally and empathetically with homeowners throughout the project
You Must Have:
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction, including leadership roles
A solid understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
A strong background in carpentry (even if you’re no longer on the tools full-time)
Experience managing or supervising high-end renovation or custom home projects
You Must Be Able To:
Read and interpret construction drawings and schedules
Communicate clearly with trades, clients, and coworkers
Anticipate project challenges and solve problems proactively
Represent the company professionally on-site, especially in front of homeowners
Work collaboratively with Project Managers and team leads
Let’s work together.
If you're an experienced site lead who’s ready to join a company that values quality, respect, and balance, we’d love to hear from you.
